Part-time Jobs
Third-country students studying in a university-accredited programme in Czechia generally have free access to the labour market: they do not need a separate employment permit solely because of that job. Your residence purpose and active study status still matter.
DPP and DPČ agreements are common forms of part-time student employment, but their tax and social-insurance treatment depends on current earnings thresholds and the exact contract. Do not choose a contract only because an old guide says contributions are always minimal.
English-language student work is easiest to find in Prague and Brno, while Czech expands the range of jobs substantially.

Post-study Work
A third-country graduate who completed a university-accredited programme in Czechia while holding a study long-term residence permit can apply for a long-term residence permit for seeking employment or starting a business. It is valid for up to nine months and cannot be extended.
During that permit, qualifying Czech university graduates have free access to the labour market and may work, seek employment, do business or start a business. To remain after the permit ends, you need to qualify for an appropriate longer-term residence basis, for example an employee card or a business residence permit where the conditions are met. A trade licence by itself is not an immigration status.
For the five-year permanent-residence calculation, time spent in Czechia on a residence permit for study is generally counted at half length. Plan the residence timeline separately from the right to work.
