Vilnius rooms commonly run EUR 250 to 450, Kaunas and Klaipėda less; university dormitories are the cheap option and worth the early application. The Old Town carries a premium; the Soviet-era districts are cheaper and tram- and bus-connected.
A declared address is a legal step after arrival, so a cooperative landlord and a proper contract matter for the permit as much as for the deposit.
