The Swedish Defence University (Försvarshögskolan) is a state higher education institution based in Stockholm, with an additional campus in Karlstad. It educates military officers and civilian specialists in defence, security and crisis management, and conducts research in war studies, political science, leadership and military history, holding degree-awarding rights up to doctoral level.
